Our Solution

ViaBridges was contracted to construct two central bridges in two key junctions along Akko-Karmiel railway line. The bridges cross over Road No.70 and the busy entrance to Barlev industrial zone. The project includes bridges, underpasses, retaining walls and drainage culverts.

Ahihud Bridge is one of the largest double track single span bridges in Israel. The original design was a 4 spans bridge with a pier in the median of road No.70 and an abutment on an archaeological site of old graves. ViaBridges design offers an elegant solution of a single span bridge over road No.70 and away from the archaeological site.

Bal-Lev Bridge runs over the new railway line, connecting a segment on Road No.85 with the entrance to Bar-Lev industrial zone. This was approached as a top-down construction project that demanded traffic detouring.
